Bag in box format: perfect to preserve the aromas and properties of the olive oil. It is fully protected from light and oxidation (olive oil's two great enemies) thanks to its sealed foil pouch.
Temprano in Spanish means early. This EVOO is extracted from Picual olives harvested when the fruit is still green, normally the last days of October. Green notes and complex personality for a spectacular fruitiness: fresh, clean and bright. Its bitterness talks about the high levels of polyphenols picual variety has, and the spicy character is given by oleocanthal, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, naturally present on this kind of olive. Combined with a 80% of monounsaturated fats, this olive oil can be considered one of the healthiest you can find. Thought to give personality, to enhance the flavors on its own way, is perfect for dressing, working with a few elements. Really interesting for finishing warm dishes: all the green vegetable aromas (tomato, artichoke, grass) releases creating and spectacular effect. Its very particular hint and bitterness make it surprisingly suitable combined with sweets: chocolates, ice creams, mousse...
Amazing strong oil
It is made of green olives and you can tell that in the flavor, for example, my wife does not like it, she says that it is very strong, but for me is amazing.
Love at first taste
I bought my first bottle of temprano at the store ''Despa
good spanish oil
First time trying spanish olive oil, awesome experience! We will repeat!
Fell in love with the first temprano bottle, now we go for the big box.
Too intense and strong
A bit strong for me, I use it just for cooking because they recommended me to use quality olive oil.
Answer: Hello shai, thank you very much for your feedback. We recommend you trying our arbequina. It's still a great quality olive oil but milder and less intense.
An olive oil worth trying
As in many houses, we usually never lack a good extra virgin olive oil, but it is true that we had not tried many Spanish oils yet. This one comes in a very nice bag in box and what I liked the most was the tap. If youpress the tap, a very fine stream comes out, perfect for a salad or toast. You can always refill another bottle (that's what we do at home). The flavor is quite noticeable, I would not define it as strong, but as very fresh and intense. It has a low acidity and a considerable bitterness and spicyness. We especially liked it in caprese salads with gorgonzola, nuts, tomato and basil, because it adds the flavor of the olive and enhances all the other flavors that are quite fine. We liked it a lot.
I like strong olive oils for salad dressing, dipping, and gently warming something in a pan. This is what you will get.
NOW that's what I call real olive oil, others are just wannabes
the best oil in the world and I've tasted more than 200 classes, I do not change it + great format (bag in box), we use it at home to refill other bottles
